What Exactly is Socialisation and why is it important?
Just like with everything else, we need to teach our dogs how to behave around other dogs. This is an important skill that is best learnt as early as possible.
The way to do this is to introduce them to dogs that have good body language around other dogs and who can show your dog what is the right way to behave around other dogs.
The dogs here at Windward have been around other dogs all their life and have had the chance to meet many non-windward dogs too! They know just how to make a new dog comfortable and they also know how to let another dog know when they don’t think their behaviour is appropriate!

Pet Requirements
must have up to date vaccination and medical records
Please ensure that your pet is upto date with vaccination and deworming. Wait for a minimum of two weeks after the last vaccination before scheduling a session.
Must be protected for ticks and fleas
My home is multi dog household with access to the outdoors. Your pet mst be protected for ticks and fleas. Do speak to your vet in advance for tick and flea protection.
Full disclosure
Please ensure that you provide all information about your pet before we meet. For e.g. if your pup has had a bad experience with another dog before this, it will affect his / her reaction to our dogs. It may also affect the decision of which will be the best teacher for your pup.
